#TeamRhino #SaveTheRhino #SaveFive

Raising Awareness to protect our #WildLife, Please take the pledge: I would like to join #TeamRhinodotorg in the fight against rhino poaching to ensure a future for people and vulnerable wildlife on our planet: I will never buy or promote any products made of rhino horn, as I know that demand drives poaching. I will be a committed advocate to support rangers and others on the frontlines of rhino conservation. I will share my passion about rhino conservation and recruit my friends and family to become involved. I will urge my government to continue championing efforts to stop rhino poaching at home and abroad. I will stand with IRF to help save rhinos from extinction. teamrhino.org

Women HerStory Raw Deals

March 5, 2015 Women HerStory the challenges associated with being a women are numerous and often dangerous. Women's Way 12th Annual Women & Influence Conference bought voice to women, families and immigration. Heartbreaking the information i absorbed at the conference. This conference is important to me because i have been looking for a way to asisst immigrant women ever since 2000, when my neighbor from a Asian country reached out to me for assistance. We could only try to communicate when her husband left to go to work. I found a hooked on phonics at a gargage sale and bought for her thinking that if she learned our language she would be more empowered. Unfortunately the hooked on phonics set was not complete and i could see the frustration in her eyes and feel the pain in her heart. Her husband moved the family shortly after that, and i have been wondering and hopeing that she was able to get asisstance and not be so controled by her husband.

I've been to several actions for undocumented citizens (citizens in my eyes because some work and pay taxes just as legal citizens do and the rest live in this country and have been for decades) and i reach out to see how we can work together and i always get this is our issue. The truth is issues like undocumented is the undocumented community issue but ICE and Stop and Frisk is all of our issues.

The 12th Annual Women & Influence Conference bought us together and allowed us to share a space and information. i met two beautiful and courageous young women during the Education/Youth: Girls Leadership

Ms. Angy Rivera has strenght out of this world when sharing her story. Raw deal is what she accepted to get on the road to citizenship status here in The United States. One of my biggest question in my life is why do we always have to go through traumatic events before someone or program will asisst in making life better for us. Ms. Angy Rivera has accepted a U Visa with agonizing pain. U Visa are granted to vicitims of crime who look to escape the crimes against them. For more information about U Visa please visit:
