Raising Awareness to protect our #WildLife, Please take the pledge: I would like to join #TeamRhinodotorg in the fight against rhino poaching to ensure a future for people and vulnerable wildlife on our planet: I will never buy or promote any products made of rhino horn, as I know that demand drives poaching. I will be a committed advocate to support rangers and others on the frontlines of rhino conservation. I will share my passion about rhino conservation and recruit my friends and family to become involved. I will urge my government to continue championing efforts to stop rhino poaching at home and abroad. I will stand with IRF to help save rhinos from extinction. teamrhino.org

26 Philadelphia Police Officers Beat Tyree Carroll for Riding his Bike the Wrong Direction On The Block His Family Resides on

i just want to know what is going on with the justice reform commission here in Philadelphia that Obama put Commissioner Ramsey in charge of? These officers need to be fired for their gang assault on Tyree Carroll. Please tell me what the routine is for stopping a person? What grounds or evidence is needed to pursue a person besides the racist war on drugs aka racist war on black people. The Philadelphia police department needs to retrain their officers to be able to work in the stressful conditions that they signed up for. Thanks to the video recording of this gang assault Tyree will get justice. How many of our sisters and brothers are beaten and killed by police officers and get no justice for this crime against them?

Sandra Bland’s Loved Ones Want To Know How A Routine Traffic Stop Led To Her Death In A Jail Cell

Sunday Boston Globe article starts with Tyree's case.
"The video is no less horrifying for being familiar: a young black man surrounded by about 20 police officers, nearly all of them white, being beaten while offering no resistance. Tyree Carroll had been biking to his grandmother’s home in northwest Philadelphia late one April night when officers stopped him on suspicion of narcotics possession. What happened appears to be a textbook case of police brutality, at least according to the cellphone video of the incident released this month: a chokehold, repeated blows to the face and body, and hurled epithets. A bruised Carroll, the Philadelphia Police Department later said in a statement, was “transported to the hospital after intentionally striking his own head against the protective shield located in the police vehicle.”
The department promised an internal investigation, but has already labeled the use of force justified. The local district attorney, while bringing charges against Carroll for drug possession and assault, has deferred to the department’s assessment. That response underscores the chasm between how the public and the government view such incidents of violence."

We have a critical moment of opportunity.
Members of Congress just announced the most comprehensive federal justice reform legislation in decades!
But unfortunately—that's ALL they have done. No votes have been scheduled. No hearings have been set. And the time for action this year is running out
