I'm FREE Female Reentering Empowering Each Other Welcomes Home Roisin

Thursday, October 9, 2014 I’m FREE planned a welcome home event for Roisin who was just released from a prison facility seven hours away from us. Her mother seen in blue met Roisin at the gate and shared with us how she was prepared to address her daughters needs and fears as she transitions into society, thanks to the advice given by I’m FREE!! Great part about the welcoming event was the overlapping with a funder interested in the work we do. The funder was able to hear first hand how vital our work is. After a while Dr. Ranya, Petrena and the Funder adjourned to a private room while Ali (a superstar volunteer) was able to conversate with Roisin and her mother. Ali had been keeping correspondence with Roisin while she was incarcerated.

I made Roisin her own personal basket of Homemade Oatmeal and Raisin Cookies and some for us all to enjoy. Roisin was very happy with all the love she received from us at I’m FREE!!
