Raising Awareness to protect our #WildLife, Please take the pledge: I would like to join #TeamRhinodotorg in the fight against rhino poaching to ensure a future for people and vulnerable wildlife on our planet: I will never buy or promote any products made of rhino horn, as I know that demand drives poaching. I will be a committed advocate to support rangers and others on the frontlines of rhino conservation. I will share my passion about rhino conservation and recruit my friends and family to become involved. I will urge my government to continue championing efforts to stop rhino poaching at home and abroad. I will stand with IRF to help save rhinos from extinction. teamrhino.org

Women of Color are Dying and No One Seems To Care

Women of color in Los Angeles were hunted down, killed and found in alley ways and yet the community knew very little to nothing about how these murders were connected. Margaret Prescod learned about these horrific crimes against the human rights of women of color in the 1980's and formed the black coalition fighting back serial murders, www.blackcoalitionfightingbackserialmurders.org https://www.facebook.com/blackcoalitionfightsback

For twenty plus years a low income, drug infested community in Los Angeles was kept in the dark about the serial murders that had been happening in their community. The Los Angeles police force devalued these women and the community because of social conditions created by a country that ignores folks of color in stressed communities. The Los Angeles police created a environment of carelessness with their mentality that these women were not human and supported the killing of these women. Thanks to new DNA testing and the work of the Black Coalition Fighting Back Serial Murders one of the main corporates of these murders is now in jail.

Sad how people will use the weakness of the most vulnerable citizens of our country as an excuse to ignore their demographic needs. Sad how a country has robbed these communities by cutting public assistance and sending our jobs over seas to countries who profit from illegal slavery practices. Most sad is how some members of this community condone/ignored the actions of the murderer because of their selfish desire to get high. That get over and i'm a do me, mentality plagues economically disadvantage communities as a survival of the fittest tactic. The churches in this community also played a blind eye, for they preach come as you are but refused to assist the community because of moral issues.

May 5, 2015 i turned on my computer and Google was giving tribute to Elle Bly for being the first women to stand up to the male dominated culture.  At 5:30pm on the same day, i learned from human rights advocate Margaret Prescod of the abuse and neglect going on in parts of Los Angeles. With the assistance of filmmaker Nick Broomfield and surviving victim Pamela Brooks a documentary was created to bring more light to the blight of human life in Los Angeles.
